In addition to the continued Medical Missions HCAFE is organizing, HCAFE has proudly joined the Ethiopian Ministry of Health (MOF) in the restoration of the most severely affected healthcare facilities by the recent armed conflict through the twining approach.
The twinning approach is part of the national comprehensive emergency response to restore the functionality of the most severely affected hospitals, currently free from security concern.
Previously HCAFE has adopted Tenta Hospital and have made donation of medical supplies.
Currently HCAFE is working to restore the functionality of Wadla Primary Hospital

Wadla Primary Hospital
Wadla Primary Hospital is located in the North Wollo Zone of Amhara State: Wadla Primary Hospital.
It’s a rural Public / Government funded hospital that started service in April 2017 to Wadla and surrounding areas to over 250,000 people.
Services provided include Primary Care, Emergency Care, General Medicine, Pediatrics, General Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Orthopedics, Critical Care, Family Planning, Dental Care, Eye Care, ENT, Health Education, Immunization, Imaging, Laboratory, Nutritional Services.
As the result of the well-known recent armed conflict in the area, the hospital properties were looted and destroyed, and infrastructures were severely damaged.
The estimated total damage is 119,772,862.75 EB.
With the support of the Regional Health Bureau, the Bahir-Dar EPSA (Ethiopian Pharmaceutical Supply Agency), and the natives of Wadla, the hospital has started Emergency services, Obstetric, and Outpatient services.
Immediate response is needed to care for Maternal Health, Emergency Surgeries, Medical emergencies, HIV / Tuberculosis, Malnutrition, Endemic and Epidemic disease in the area.
